Premier League Soccer Season in Review

By Ismael Velazquez

With the Premier League coming to a close, clubs Manchester City and Arsenal are in the top two of the table with only 8 points separating them. Arsenal has 69 pts and Manchester City has 61 pts. Who will be the next Premier League champion?

Their statistics are very similar to each other: for example, Arsenal has a record of 28-3-3, including a +40 GD (goal differential), 26 GA (goals against), and 66 GF (goals for); meanwhile, Manchester City is 19-4-4 with +42 GD, (25 GA and 67 GF).

Interestingly, Arsenal has two former Manchester City players including Gabriel Jesus, and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Another possible team that might make it to the top is Manchester United with 50 pts.

My predictions would be for Manchester City to win because of how well they’re doing this season and in all competitions. It’s going to be close because Arsenal are also really good this season and are practically undefeated at the moment. Also Manchester City’s star player, #9 Erling Haaland, is the Premier League top scorer with 28 goals at the age of 22.

With Manchester City being 8 points behind Arsenal, their chances to win the Premier League are close. In order for Manchester City to finish in first place, Arsenal need to lose 3 of their games back to back to back.
