The Source in Buena Park

By Noelani Discipulo

Sometimes we are so comfortable staying in our own area, we don’t get to see the great things outside. If you are looking for something different but close, The Source in Buena Park is a great place to explore.
The Source is a predominantly Korean-centric shopping venue in a semi-outdoor modern complex. They are open Monday-Thursday 10am – 8pm, Friday and Saturday from 10am – 9pm, and Sundays from 10am – 7pm. However, each store has their own individual hours that vary.
The complex has three floors. The third floor is mainly the food court and restaurants, along with the entrance to the movie theater. The lower floors have clothing, music, stationary, home decor, and other culinary choices. On the first floor there is also an indoor playground for younger children.

The best times to go would be when special events are happening. There are more people and various events to attract their guests. While it is not always advertised when they have events, it’s a solid bet they will have something during holidays. For K-pop events, the @kplaceusa on instagram makes announcements for the events and Random Dance Plays they hold.
If you like to take Instagram worthy pictures and are looking for places to take nice pictures, The Source is also a great place for that. Some of my favorite places to visit are mainly on the ground floor; the K-Place, Myungrang Hotdog, Ding-Tea, Flippoly, Little Light, and Amuse.
