Eagles Girls’ Tennis Recap (10/14)

by Coal Ahime Ruiz

It’s been a great learning experience for the Eagles Girls’ Tennis this year. From showing sportsmanship, to going through every round of the game with grit, they managed to encourage each other from one match to the next, all while showing personal and athletic improvement.

Girls’ tennis put in hours of practice, and displayed dedication to the team. So far they have held matches against seven schools, all showing incredible results, but to no avail–they have yet to score a win despite a few close calls. With our seniors, Abigail Avila, Alexa Cabrera, Jocel Valdez, Anyssa Nerio, Breanna Song, and Jessica Gomez, they are making sure to leave their mark and imprint onto their teammates. Our Juniors, Andrea Urena, and Stany Hernandez, showing motivation and spirit through their plays. The sophomores, Destiny Aguilar, Iris Buckley, Gianna Morales, and Arianna Hernandez, emphasizing and being there for their team. And our Freshmen, Ida Turner, Anh Dang, Meera Ghandi, Jennifer Medina, Alondra Juarez, and Moaniuee Commander, are making a name for themselves. All of them have put in a huge amount of effort in trusting their teammates, but to also improve after each game,

Regardless of having free days, they still meet up as teammates to help each other with things such as making posters, or even forming a study group where they all help and collaborate. Having these sessions, games, and practices all brought them closer as teammates, but also makes everyone feel like they are part of a family.
